The Young Holland Koi Show goes online

Nishikigoi Vereniging Nederland has decided, due to regulations and challenges around Covid-19 (Corona), to change the Young Holland Koi Show to an entirely online hosted Koi Show.

However, this will not be a "standard" online election to see who has the best photo shooting or editing skills or who has the most (online) friends. We will be "translating" the regular Koi Show entirely to the internet. This means that the Koi will be judged by a ZNA jury by means of a photo AND a video of between 15 and 60 seconds.

The registration is already started and going quite well. A nice additional fact is that the distance at which you live from Kerkdriel, where A2 Koi the dealer that would host the regular show is based, is suddenly no longer important. There will be no transportation issues for your precious Koi. All you need to do is to provide us a photo and a video of the Koi you want to enter in the show. The Picture and the video need to be taken of each individual Koi, so not all at once! We still use a maximum of 2 meters koi per vat and at least 2 koi per vat.

Each participant will be assigned with his or her own virtual vat. The Koi can only be seen and admired on Monday the 1st of June. They will only be online during the regular Show hours. So it's important that you keep this day cleared in your calendar.

The YHKS will be online, live but digital.

To achieve this, we are busy building an addition to the Holland Koi Show website. This special online Koi Show section of the Holland Koi Show website remains unreachable until the show actually opens on June 1 at 9:30 a.m CET.

Please keep in mind that you have to be on time, because around 5.30 pm the showground, and with it the special show section of the website, will be closed again.
